Among all the very nice skate designs, I have always loved the legendary Jim Phillips "Screaming Hand" for Santa Cruz :

Sculptris
Original design from Jim Phillips

So today I decided to try to create a 3D sculpture from it and here is the result after a few hours of modeling in Sculptris.
Note that this is the first time I use Sculptris for something more serious that just tweaking the default sphere.
And it's just a great free sculpting app : 100% fun to use !

Sculptris
Work in progress (Sculptris)

Sculptris
Modeling is finished

Sculptris
Texturing is finished

Sculptris
Rendered in Kerkythea with Sub-Surface Scattering (SSS)

And now I need to 3D print it but someone will probably do it before me now that I have uploaded it on Thingiverse.
I also uploaded a left hand that is closer to the original design.

SKATE OR DIE !!!

EDITED (Oct. 15th) :

I have deleted the files from Thingiverse and am waiting for an answer from Jim Phillips (or Santa Cruz) to make sure I am not making any copyright infringement.
As I have no job I couldn't afford to pay a lawyer...
I hope you understand.

EDITED (Oct. 16th) after I received an answer from Jim Phillips and NHS.

And here is the answer :

Ambrose, your 3-D print of the Screaming Hand is amazing, however, according to NHS inc, it is not OK to post the 3D printed sculpture as this is an infringement to make, or allow others to make, any reproductions of the now Globally Trademarked Screaming Hand design.” - Jim Phillips

Thanks for the answer Jim and sorry for all the trouble !
