Making of "Caruso"

This is the making of "Caruso", a peacock that I made out of paper mache as a theater prop.
"Caruso" is the name of a peacock that is intented to be used in our theater play that unfortunately will probably never happen...
Never mind. I had a lot of fun making it !
Like I also had a lot of fun playing the characters I was in charge of (thank you Emilie for your patience).
As I have never seen a real peacock this sculpture is totally inaccurate.
May the purist forgive me.
Material used
- newspaper and water (paper mache)
- paper glue
- acrylic paint and Posca
- real peacock feathers (thanks to Philippe !)
- hot glue gun
- and some "secret materials" of mine (eye pupils, blue crest)
EDITED (2025): our theater play will finally happen this year. Caruso will be able to have its role.
