I know that quiet a few people are waiting for the hand to be released as CAD data.
I received several personal mails asking me when it will be made available.
The answer is "I don't know...".
But for sure it's on its way.

Recently a user named Balse posted on the InMoov's website about a problem on the palm of the hand named WristlargeV3.
I had a look at it and corrected the part...

CAD data of the InMoov's right forearm is now available for download as STEP (.stp) and IGES (.igs) format.
These parts have been completely retro-engineered from the original STL files and are ready to be used in any CAD solid package.
They've been redesigned with hi accuracy. There's no more overlap between parts and they should give you better smooth prints depending on your tessellation settings.
As I won't upload the left version if you need the left forearm, just perform a mirror of all the parts.

And the complete forearm as a single file will be uploaded tomorrow.
The next parts that will be made as solid CAD will be the complete right hand.

Recently Gael uploaded the "Chest" parts for InMoov.
Among all the parts the plexus is made of two parts with the words "InM" and "oov" on them.
To create these parts he used a boolean operation in Blender.
But Blender didn't do a good job and the resulting parts were full of small artifacts and "spikes".
I then contacted Gael to ask him if he wanted me to try to do it better...

Lors de nos premiers essais de motorisation de l'épaule gauche, Mad s'est rendu compte que les moteurs ne tournaient pas toujours à la même vitesse en fonction de la position des potentiomètres.
Il s'est alors dit qu'il y avait peut être quelque chose à faire avec çà et qu'il serait éventuellement envisageable de programmer des accélérations et des décélérations...
Il a donc embarqué l'épaule chez lui afin de procéder à des essais et voici ses conclusions.

Gael n'a pas perdu de temps au retour de la Maker Faire de Rome ou son robot a d'ailleurs remporté 2 prix bien mérités !
Il a en effet uploadé de nouvelles pièces pour le torse (Torso) plus toutes les pièces de la poitrine dans un nouveau groupe initulé "Chest".

Lorsqu'on a fait le montage des moteurs pour les 2 boîtiers mécaniques constituant l'épaule gauche de InMoov, on a été surpris de constater que les pièces qui doivent recevoir les potentiomètres ne sont
Et je trouve çà un peu dommage !
Alors ce matin j'ai décidé de revoir çà...

Il faut avouer que ces derniers temps le projet Eugène2 / InMoov n'a pas beaucoup avancé...
Mais ce week-end, grâce à mon pote Mad, il a fait un grand bond en avant et Eugène a commencé à bouger !
Mon pote Gilou était là aussi et çà nous a tous redonné la pêche.

Je dois ramener la machine vers midi et, comme vous savez, je n'ai pas eu le temps de faire toutes mes impressions...
Mais d'ici à midi la machine peut encore fournir alors je vais pas la laisser se reposer. Pas encore...

On est Jeudi et c'est ma dernière journée d'impression car je vais devoir ramener la machine demain, à mon grand regret.
Je vais donc dresser un rapide bilan de ce qui reste à faire et vais sans doute devoir effectuer des choix car il ne sera pas possible d'imprimer toutes les pièces manquantes en 24h.
Du moins j'en doute...

Ça commence à sentir bon la fin de la phase de print !
Et je dois dire que c'est pas pour me déplaire. Pensez donc, celà fait 28 jours que je fais çà non-stop, jour après jour, pièce après pièce, un vrai travail à la chaîne. Abrutissant... Que font les syndicats ?
A force de pas dormir (ou peu) et de pas sortir j'ai parfois l'impression que c'est moi qui suis en train de devenir un robot !
